Mayors’ Summit at SXSW
Civic I/O immerses forward-thinking mayors from around the country with the most innovative technologists, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and creatives during SXSW.
While innovation in the government and civic sector continues to grow, local leaders still face many challenges. Civic I/O unites mayors and business leaders on all sides to collectively develop solutions for the entrenched societal and governmental issues they face.
Participants will discuss, debate, and share best practices and new ideas on those important issues through panels and roundtables, intimate dinners with fellow mayors, and one-on-one engagements with entrepreneurs. Attendees will experience emerging technologies like autonomous cars firsthand while engaging with startups on the economic development opportunities those technologies unlock.
The third annual event will be in Austin, Texas, as part of SXSW Interactive, a world-famous event that brings together new ideas, emerging technologies, and a prolific concentration of cross-industry thought leaders from around the world.
We invite you to explore our most recent event, sign up for updates and submit panel ideas around the passions and issues on your mind.
Hosted proudly by the Office of Mayor Steve Adler and the U.S. Conference of Mayors
We’ll see you in Austin!
